WE BELIEVE

  • The one, true God of the Bible is most clearly revealed to the world in the incarnate Son, Jesus Christ the Lord.
  • The Good News of the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • That salvation (forgiveness of sins, release from guilt and condemnation, reconciliation with God) and eternal life are granted in grace to all who trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • The primary purpose of the Bible is to point to Jesus Christ, the living Lord of the Church.
  • The Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is the divinely inspired Word of God, and is the final written authority and trustworthy for faith and practice.
  • The Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the authority of Christian faith, and we do not accept any humanly devised confession or creed as binding.
  • That Scripture is to be interpreted responsibility under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
  • That witnessing to the person and work of Jesus Christ is the ongoing task of every Christian and every Church.
  • The local church/congregation is the fundamental unit responsible for sharing the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ and guiding, assisting and preparing believers to do ministry.
  • The church is a gathered fellowship of regenerated believers, a sign of the coming universal reign of Jesus Christ.
  • The two ordinances of the Church are full immersion baptism and Holy Communion
  • Committed individual believers can and should approach God directly.
  • The Holy Spirit gives each believer one or more spiritual gifts.
  • AffiliationsEach believer must seek to discover his/her gift(s) and use them to build up the Church to do the work of ministry.

In so doing, we will execute the Great Commission of Jesus Christ in love: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20/ NIV).

We are truly blessed to be under the charge and leadership of our faithful, esteemed and God fearing Pastor, Reverend Lolita L. Hickman. To God be the glory!
